The fireplace, up close19 viewsThis is the brick... (backsplash too) and the same granite. Later we'll need to add some wood accents and a mantle. The granite looks kind of funny sticking out there against the wall (you can't tell in this picture) but yeah... and we caulked this ourselves. Teenie little lines and neither of us had done it before, and I must say we did great... after a while. (=

Kitchen29 viewsStanding in the livingroom I took this. You can see the dining room lights that they got a little off center (the table would be banging into the bar if we centered it under the light). I couldn't get a better pic of the kitchen because there was a girl cleaning up in there... but the dishwasher is in the bar and... I think you can see the rest. The brick that is around the fireplace is our backsplash... kind of a warm color brick look..

The Granite!19 viewsVerde Butterfly chunks is what we now have for counter tops and hearth. This is close up. It has more gold than I would prefer... but the tiny red chunks are kinda cool and the white accents that appear with movement are also nice.

Stairs into garage18 viewsThis door goes into a hallway with the stairs on the left and the laundry room on the right. It opens into the diningroom with the kitchen on the right and the living room on the left. You can see the sliding back door behind Mike.

Our front porch22 viewsYeah, big enough for one chair, here is our gorgeous front porch. Note how I, taking the picture, am standing on the sidewalk and how far I am looking up. Slight issue. Oh well.
