So the winter is getting serious now here in Moscow, Idaho, what with it raining, being cold and even a few lonely snowflakes have been spotted!! (Please no!)

Cora is six months this month!! We can't believe it! The weed won't stop growing! She's around 20 lbs and right on the border of using a big-girl car seat. She's tried it and doesn't really like it for long car trips yet... She's rolling both ways but only over her left side, so she's not going too far. Whew! She is a PRO at peek-a-boo. She'll cover up her face and then flap her arms and legs wildly until someone says, "Where's Cora!?" and then she whisks it off and we say, "There she is!!" or "Peek-a-boo!" and she griiiiiiiiins. And then she does it again and again and again and again and again.... And of course we think it is SO adorable! No teeth yet, but we expect one any day with the way she's chomping down on ANYthing she finds in her hands.

We started her on rice cereal mixed with mommy's milk on her six month birthday and she LOVED it. She's acting like a pro when it comes to eating "solid" food. And it seems like now, whenever we're eating our food she's even more interested in it and gets fussy if she just has to watch us.

Marian is doing great in school! We are so proud of her great accomplishments especially since she's had a LOT on her plate lately. And now tomorrow she gets her wisdom teeth out -- poor girl! She might go home to our mom who will do such a good job of nursing her back to health.

Mike and I are doing great and looking forward to our vacation in December -- a week with no interruptions but Cora; what a nice switch that will be!!
Love to all,
Calysta... and family

Thank you for keeping us all up to date on Coras' progress, Calysta. It is so nice to know what she is doing at each month along the way. The way you describe her actions is great! I can see her in my minds eye so clearly. I am sure Cora will love reading about her baby days when she is older. We are looking forward to seeing you all at Thanksgiving if it is still going to work out for you. R.H. (Grandma :) :)
