A new year, everyone! Well, this blog will be quick since it's past Cora's bedtime -- but I've been putting this off so long!

She's a large 8 month old now -- as you might be able to tell from the latest photo shoot. I had fun dressing her up and the lighting was just great, so we had a good time. Thanks to Heidi and Al for the awesome chair that she loved sitting in! Cora now has five teeth, two on top, three on bottom and uses them as much as possible leaving dents and scrapes in all her toys. She has started dancing, and once she gets going any tune will do. Even graces and hymns in meeting. Hard to keep from laughing. ;D She loves looking at pictures of herself. She'll look at pictures of Mom and Dad and Auntie Marian, but when she sees herself she screeches and waves her arms and kicks her legs and grins quite widely. We think she's started saying "baby" when she sees herself. It comes out like "Babeh" but it stays at two syllables. So I may have to write that down as her first actual word!!

She's not crawling yet -- still rolling everywhere and still refuses to stand up against anything. She's often content to just sit on her blanket and play with toys that are within reach. I actually have to lay her down to get her to get some exercise. I guess she's lazy or something.

Marian has started a new semester and it's another extremely busy one. Three days a week she doesn't get home until after 7:00 pm. And then on weekends she wants to hang out with friends instead of US! Amazing. So it feels like we rarely see her. But she seems to be doing great! Grades are up and we're very proud of her. :D

Mike is getting closer to being done with one of his projects -- his desk. That's very exciting! Then we could maybe organize the last room that is still an absolute wreck!

I haven't had a chance to do anything interesting lately, what with all the trips we've been on. But I plan to at least finish the top of my denim quilt soon. Then once that's done I'll just have to get fabric for the back and tie it. Someday!! We hope anyone who reads this is doing well!
